Our opinion on the Dobin Beach

Dobin Beach in Berck extends along the esplanade Parmentier. In the summer, we find a lifeguarded zone near the leisure center of Agora. This beach is the best equipped with ramps for handicap access (there are also tiralo beach wheelchairs available) a kiosk is available for families with babies and there is also equipment for reheating meals.

The seafront is agreeable (despite the nearby road) with shops and restaurants.

The fine sand beach extends for about one kilometer. However, it is advised to swim in the lifeguarded zone because on this part of the Cote d'Opale there are strong currants when the tide comes and goes.

On the esplanade, we find a leisure center Agora with several activities on the beach (kids club, bathing hut rental...) and inside activities (interesting for days with bad weather; a wave pool is available).

Note that at low tide the sea can recede over two kilometers. The beach becomes a vast terrain for games and kites.

This picture shows the beach from the south to the north.

The beach is vast and has extra fine sand.

At the south of the beach, across from the University Hospital of Paris Ile-de France West (Maritime Hospital), we can join the nautical base from a nice path.

From this beach we have a nice view of the maritime hospital (inaugurated by the empress Eugénie in 1869, the iodized air of Berk has been long reputed, people from all over France come here to be cured)

A nice pedestrian walk which allows us to join the different areas of the beach.

On the right is the Agora center (leisure center with a wave pool). We are across from the zone where swimming is lifeguarded in the summer.

To the north of the beach we find a sand yachting base. We pass from urban zone to wild zone bordered by dunes. However, the first zone is reserved for kitesurfing.
