Our opinion on the Calanque Santa Lucia

Santa Lucia Cove in Saint Raphael is located east of the port of Santa Lucia and below the allotment of the same name. It is unfrequented even in summer because of the relatively difficult access (through the coastal path but there is another way, not very well known, to easily access the cove); this cove offers a pleasant setting amidst red rock, a feature of the Esterel in the shade of pine trees.

There are two ways to access it. The first one is the most difficult through the coastal path from the port of Santa Lucia (turn left in the port to get to the bottom of the harbour. The road is at the bottom on the left). It takes 15 minutes up stairs carved into the rock with some difficult passages, dangerous with children (follow the yellow markings). The second way is simpler and accessible to all! However, there are no parking spaces! Continue on the Corniche after the port of Santa Lucia (in the direction of Cannes). Take the path of Pointe Des Moines on the right (private paved road but allowed to pedestrians). Keep right. The beach is 700 meters away on the right. A sloping path leads to it on the right (arrival in the center of the beach).

Warning: if one takes the coastal path, one must wear appropriate footwear.
