Our opinion on the Bon Secours Beach
Bon Secours Beach in Saint-Malo is located at the foot of the ramparts in the old city. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in St Malo and one of the best equipped: nautical base with kayak rental, first-aid/lifeguard station in the summer, handicap accessible, restaurant bar with a large terrace on the esplanade and a seawater swimming pool with diving board. The view is magnificent and worthy of a post card with the ramparts that border and a view of Dinard, the Vauban fort, Petit Bé, and the Ile du Grand Bé.
On the two extremities we find rocks with sand backs that can be discovered at low tide.
The only inconvenience for this urban beach is its access by car. Parking is very difficult around the old city. The easiest way to park is near the Casino de St Malo then take the promenade along the ramparts. We can also get to this beach from the old city by a little harbor near the place du Guet.

At the foot of the ramparts of Saint Malo, this beach is one of the most frequented in the corsair city. To the right of this photo, we see a nice esplanade with a restaurant bar.
We see the different accesses to the beach in this photo: either by stairs near the promenade along the ramparts or by a door from the old city that gives access near the nautical base (ramp visible in the middle of the photo). We can also see the first-aid station.
This beach or sand creek offers a great view of the bay of Dinard.
The advantage of this beach is that we're able to swim at low tide, thanks to the seawater pool.
Behind the diving board is Petit Bé fort (fort Vauban can be visited and is accessible by foot at low tide or from a free ferry).
We also find a diving board on this beach at the edge of the pool. Ideal for teenagers.
