Our opinion on the Beach of the Arenas
The beach of the Arenas in Saintes Marie de la Mer is one of the most central beaches. It is under surveillance during summer and is accessible for people with reduced mobility. This beach stretches from both sides of the Arenas of Saintes Maries and has a big car park (paid parking – toilets are available in the car park of the Arenas). The port is on the right.
The beach on the right of the Arenas is the largest. On the left, there is a second sandy cove, narrower but differently oriented (can be interesting when it is windy). Please note that the waves are broken through dykes.

The beach of the Arenas in Saintes Marie de la Mer is located opposite the arenas and east of the port (visible on this picture).
We are on the second beach left of the arenas. Dikes breaking the waves protect the various beaches.
The second cove is narrower than the beach next to the port (on the right of the Arenas).
A pedestrian promenade is available along this beach. Here we see the aid station (open in summer).
We have an aerial view of the city of Saintes Maries de la Mer with the arenas and the various beaches. In the background, there are the Salins.
From this beach, there is a nice view of the arenas and the bell tower (you can climb on it to get a view of the Saintes and the Camargue region).
