Beaches on the Island of Ré - Map, information and reviews (France)

Map of Ré Island - France

The Island of Ré (also known as the white island), located off La Rochelle (car access via a toll bridge), is composed of several villages and stretches almost 30 km with several welded islands (the major ones are Loix and Ars). There are many beaches on the Island of Ré, the most famous ones are located south around Bois-Plage-en-Ré and in the west near St Clement les Baleines.

From a tourism perspective, Saint-Martin-de-Ré is the most important town of the island and the busiest in season. However, the beaches around St Martin are not the most beautiful ones on the Island of Ré.
